Ranma Saotome is a talented martial artist who, due to an unfortunate incident in a cursed training area in China, turns into a girl when he comes into contact with cold water – hot water transforms him back. He moves in with the Tendou family, where he becomes engaged to Akane Tendou, a young woman who is also skilled in martial arts but has a hot temper. Chaos, misunderstandings, and bizarre characters make for humorous and action-packed entanglements.
A remake of the series has been running since this year and can be viewed on the streaming provider Netflix.
